Do I have to book?
While we welcome last-minute adventurers, booking in advance is the best way to secure your spot – especially on weekends and school holidays when sessions fill up fast! Without a reservation, we can’t guarantee availability, so book online now!

Climbing with Kids? Here’s How It Works
For safety, younger participants require adult supervision. Some age groups need a participating adult (1 adult per 4 children) and the adult is required to purchase a ticket. If participation is not required, an adult must stay onsite and actively watch from the ground.

Wild Ropes FAQs
Do I need gloves?
Treetops Grip Gloves are required for all climbers and are available to purchase at checkout or in the park. We’ve upgraded our gloves to give you the best grip and comfort on our courses. Your gloves are yours to keep — so bring them back for your next visit!
Do I need to climb with my kids?
- Ages 3 – 7 (Junior Courses): Kids explore solo while adults cheer from the ground (adults are not permitted on Junior courses).
- Ages 8 – 10: Join the fun high up! 1 participating adult (ticket required) is needed on the course for every 4 kids.
Are you in Taronga Zoo?
We are located behind the top entrance of Taronga Zoo, next to the zoo’s Tree Kangaroos. There is paid parking onsite available with the first 90 minutes free. For public transport, ferries connect with the 238 bus from Circular Quay, and the 100 bus runs from the city. Click here for our address on google maps.
Wild Ropes and Taronga Zoo tickets are sold separately, so entry to one does not include access to the other.
Please note, the Zoo Friends discount at Wild Ropes cannot be applied retrospectively.
Is there parking on site?
Paid parking is available at Taronga Zoo.
Is there a kiosk?
There is a café near the ropes course, and picnic tables are available for your use. You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks to enjoy after your climb.
What is accessibility like?

Can I refill my drink bottle?
A tap is available for refills but we advise you to bring your own water.
Can I bring my dog / pet?
No pets are allowed. Guests with accredited assistance dogs must notify the park 24-hour prior to the visit.
