Do I have to book?
While we welcome last-minute adventurers, booking in advance is the best way to secure your spot – especially on weekends and school holidays when sessions fill up fast! Without a reservation, we can’t guarantee availability, so book online now!
Climbing with Kids? Here’s How It Works
For safety, younger participants require adult supervision. Guests between 120-140 cm tall must have an adult purchase a ticket to participate with them on Mega Climb.

Do I need gloves? Can I bring my own?
Treetops Grip Gloves are required for all climbers and are available to purchase at checkout or in the park. We’ve upgraded our gloves to give you the best grip and comfort on our courses. Your gloves are yours to keep — so bring them back for your next visit!
Do I need to climb with my kids?
Safety comes first, but fun is a close second! Here’s how adults can gear up for adventure:
- Ages 3 – 7 (Junior Courses): Kids explore solo while adults cheer from the ground (adults are not permitted on Junior courses).
- Ages 8 – 10: Join the fun high up! 1 participating adult (ticket required) is needed on the course for every 4 kids.

Is there parking on site?
Yes there is free parking available.
Do I need to prebook?
Yes please! Book the MegaClimb for anyone over 140 cm, and the Koala Kids Course for anyone 120-140 cm. Extra activities like the Giant Swing can be added on the day.
Are there any weight or height restrictions?
For your safety, there are weight and height restrictions put in place.
Weight: Maximum 128kg. You may be weighed before harnessing to ensure your safety.

Please keep in mind that even though your child may be tall enough to participate, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. We do our best to ensure everyone has a fun and safe adventure, but we recommend bringing kids to have a look first to see if they want to tackle it!
Can I still climb if it is raining or really hot?
Yes! We climb rain or shine! Our team will contact you if the weather is deemed unsafe. Please check the weather forecast for West Beach before making your decision.
Is it safe?
Safety is our absolute priority. West Beach Adventure maintains the very highest of safety standards. All guests wear the correct harness and safety gear and are given a full briefing before they access the SkyMate. Find out more.
All of our crew are fully trained and have the appropriate qualifications to support climbers as they explore. However, safety is everyone’s responsibility, and we require our guests to actively participate in their own safety and that of other guests.
Your safety is our concern, but your responsibility.
Is there a kiosk serving food and drinks?
We have an on-site cafe serving hot and cold drinks, snacks and hot food. You’re welcome to bring anything with you with the exception of alcohol as we are a licensed venue.
Can spectators watch for free?
Yes of course! The park is free to enter, we have lots of space for people to watch.
I am scared of heights, can I still try and have a go?
High rope courses, zip lines, leaping off buildings, climbing walls…these are all a great ways of getting over the fear of heights.
All our activities are challenge by choice and we promise, we will never try to make you do anything you don’t want to. But…the sense of achievement you get from the adventure will leave you smiling from ear-to-ear!
